You will probably need to keep your head elevated to reduce the swelling and you may have nasal packing which will stay in for about a week and can be quite uncomfortable. Beyond that there are really no special things that you need to do during the recovery although you may experience discomfort for a few weeks.

If you are considering having a nose job you will need to talk to a plastic surgeon so that he can assess how good a candidate you are. In general most healthy people can have the procedure although if you have unrealistic expectations your surgeon may refuse to perform the surgery. During your consultation you will need to make a decision on what you want your nose to look like. This is a major decision since it will completely change the look of your face so make sure that you give it some serious thought.
